Spring Electives - 2013
World Folk Songs - Tuesdays at 5 p.m.
Ages: 5 to 8
Teacher: Dan Kramlich
Description: Folk songs are a great way for music students to develop their ears and musicianship. This song will help students sing and play songs from around the world. All level are welcome.
Dates: 2/12, 3/5, 3/19, 4/2, 4/23, 5/7 and 5/21
Rock Band - Tuesdays at 5 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 12
Teacher: Dan Kramlich
Description: Students will learn popular rock songs on the basic rhythm instruments. They will be able to play drums, piano, guitar, bass and sing during the class.
Dates: 2/26, 3/12, 3/26, 4/9, 4/30, 5/14 and 5/28
Music Production and Recording - Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.
Ages: 9 and up
Teacher: Michael Stegner
Description: The music production class will introduce students to different recording and production techniques. Participants will prepare an original musical production to be performed at the Spring recital.
Dates: 2/16, 3/2, 3/16, 3/30, 4/13, 4/27 and 5/11
Advanced Combo (by audition only) - Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
Ages: Middle School and up
Extra fee of $105 per month
Teacher: Zach Stewart
This meets each week of the semester.
Description: This advanced combo is different than our other electives in that it meets each week. This is why there is an extra fee. The music will be focused mainly on jazz and popular styles. This combo only meets if there are four or more students enrolled. Please talk to your private teachers about this one to see if it is appropriate for your child.
